Bambino Upma


Serves: 4 people        Cuisine: South-Indian (Andhra Style)
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes    Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bambino – ½ Kilo
  • Onion Medium sized – 1 Slice into pieces
  • Green chilies – 4 to 5 Slit cut into two pieces
  • Kaju – 5 to 6
  • Mustard Seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Jeera Seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Urad Dal – 1 teaspoon
  • Channa Dal -  1 teaspoon
  • Curry Leaves
  • Cooking Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

  1. Put the Kadai and turn on heat, add cooking oil and once it is heated add Mustard seeds, Jeera seeds, Urad Dal, Channa Dal, Kaju and Curry Leaves wait for it to crackle and turn brown.
  2. Now add chilies and onions into the Kadai and sauté till onions turn slightly brown.

  1. Add Bambino into the Kadai now and fry, once the Bambino turns slightly brown keep aside
  2. Now take a bowl and turn on heat, add 3 glasses of water and add 1 ½  teaspoon of salt and wait for the water to boil
  3. Once the water reaches boiling state, add the Bambino mixture we have kept aside to it, put the heat on low and wait for 2 minutes turn off the stove 
  4. Garnish with coriander
Note: Bambino should be little watery so don’t keep on stove till it turns thick.
