Spicy Prawn Curry (Royala Curry)
Ingredients
- 200 grams shelled and devined prawns
- 1 cup finely cut onions
- 2 table spoons garlic/ginger paste
- 1 Tbsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1Tbsp Black gram
- 1tsp dhania powder
- 1tsp Garam masala powder
- 2Tbsp cooking oil
- Curry leaves
- Fresh coriander leaves

Preparation Steps:
Take a pan and put on a stove and put on medium heat wait
till he pan gets heated put the deveined and cleaned prawns and add ginger
garlic paste, Turmeric, chilli powder and sauté till the prawns are evenly
coated with mixture and is half cooked (takes about 8mins; See that the masala
does stick to pan).Once done take it out and keep aside.
Take another pan add 2 tbsp cooking oil and wait till the
oil is heated now add the minapappu (Black gram) and fry for 2 min. Add curry
leaves and finely cut onions and fry till they are transparent and then add
half cooked prawns and keep stirring for
about 5 min. Next add coriander powder and Garam masala and stir then finally add
freshly cut coriander leaves for garnishing and the dish is ready to serve.
