BROAD BEANS CURRY/CHIKKUDI KAAYA VEPUDU

INGREDIENTS:

300 grams broad beans
1 tomato
1 small onion
salt-as per taste
A glass of water
chilli powder-2 spoons
sesame seeds powder-1 spoon

Urad dal-1/2 spoon
mustard seeds-1/2 tea spoon
cumin seeds-just a pinch
Curry leaves-6-7

PREPARATION TIME:20 minutes


PROCEDURE:
 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.After they splutter,add curry leaves and  chopped onion.

 2.When the onions become golden brown,add salt,turmeric powder and the sliced tomato.

 3.Now add the broad beans which are washed and cut into fine pieces.

 4.Add water and cover the kadai with a lid. Let it cook for 10 minutes.

 5.When the water is gone,add chilli powder and mix well.

 6.cook for another 5 minutes and add sesame seeds powder before you switch off the flame.
serve it in a serving bowl.

This curry tastes good with white rice.
