| Munakkaya Pulusu Andhra Style |
INGREDIENTS:
- Munakkaya-2(cut into 1 inch pieces)
- Onion-2
- Tomato-2
- Mustard seeds
- Cumin seeds
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
- Chilli powder
- Turmeric powder
- Jaggery-half lemon size
- Curry leaves
- Soaked tamarind-lemon size
- Water
- Oil
PREPARATION TIME:30 MINUTES
PROCEDURE:
1.Take a cooker and add oil. When the oil is hot,add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,toor dal and urad dal. When they splutter add curry leaves,chopped onions and salt.
2.When the onions turn golden brown add the chopped tomatoes,turmeric powder and chilli powder.
3.When the tomatoes are mashed add the tamarind juice
4.After 2 minutes add the drumstick and little water.Mix them well and close the cooker. Cook it till 2 whistles.
5.Open the cooker and keep it on stove again. Add coriander leaves and the jaggery. Cook for another 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
